RFQ for professional services related to the development of DFCs within Groundwater Management Area 8

The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit qualifications from interested parties (Respondents) regarding their recommended approach to and qualifications for supporting the Groundwater Management Area 8 (GMA 8) Joint Planning Committee (Committee) in its efforts to conduct all necessary and appropriate activities to develop and adopt desired future conditions (DFCs) for the aquifers within GMA 8.

Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District Expressing and Ringing Alarms

 “Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District Declares Drought Stage 1 for all well owners and operators of wells completed in both the Trinity Aquifer and Edwards BFZ Aquifer systems in Bell County,” says Dirk Aaron, General Manager.  “Folks its Real”

Aaron stressed in his capacity as General Manager, “The Districts Directors urges all businesses, and utilities dependent on groundwater wells to be supportive of this initial stage requesting conservation”.  This encouragement is also important for private well owners drawing from both aquifer systems across the County. All groundwater users are encouraged to actively conserve under the Stage 1 “Awareness” by volunteering to reduce their groundwater use by 10%.

Land Stewardship Workshop – June 15th

AgriLife Research & Extension is co-hosting a brush management and land stewardship training workshop on June 15 in Lampasas in an effort to enhance environmental sustainability, contractor profitability and landowner satisfaction.

Clearwater UWCD RFQ for Auditing Services

The Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District (CUWCD) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the CUWCD’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018 with the option of auditing the District’s financial statements for the two (2) subsequent fiscal years.  General meeting with Firms to discuss our current year audit and a general overview of the District is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 10, 2018 the Clearwater UWCD office located at 700 Kennedy Court in the Belton Business Park.  To be considered for this engagement, your firm must meet the qualifications and satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP.  Completed proposals must be received at the address listed below by 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 29, 2018.
