During the first half of his career, Scott traveled extensively for work, having visited 5 of the 7 world continents and 46 of the 50 United States during that time.

Nowadays, Scott prefers to stay close to the home near Youngsport that he shares with Stefanie, his beloved wife of 25 years, two dogs, and the occasional brood of chickens.

All water used in their household comes from a private well, and water conservation is a part of life for them due to the state of the aquifer in that area of the District.

When not working, Scott enjoys the great outdoors and tinkering with all manner of mechanical and electrical devices in his home shop.
