2017 Milam and Burleson Groundwater Summit

The 2017 Milam and Burleson Counties Groundwater Summit is set for August 16, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Caldwell Civic Center. The Summit is free and open to the public with lunch provided. Topics for this year’s Summit cover a variety of issues.

Citizens of Milam and Burleson Counties, as well as surrounding areas, can benefit from attending the Groundwater Summit. Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District organizes the event and invites groundwater experts from across Texas to come speak at the local level. It is a great opportunity for people to come and learn about the state’s requirements on local groundwater management and stay up-to-date on current groundwater issues.

Clearwater Announces 16th Annual Water Symposium

The Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District is hosting its 16th annual Bell County Water Symposium. This year’s event will be held November 16, 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Texas A&M Central Texas Campus in Killeen located at 1901 S. Clear Creek Rd.  Co-sponsors include Texas Well Owner Network; Lloyd Gosselink Attorneys at Law; HALFF Associates; LBG-Guyton & Associates, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the Bell County Engineer’s Office and Baylor University, Department of Geology.

This year’s theme is: “ASR a Reality for The Future Growth and Needs of Central Texas?”

Public Hearing on Proposed Desired Future Conditions

CLEARWATER UNDERGROUND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED DESIRED FUTURE CONDITIONS – MAY 11, 2016

The Board of Directors of the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District (“CUWCD”) will hold a public hearing and accept public comment on the proposed Desired Future Conditions (“DFCs”) for the Edwards BFZ Aquifer and the Trinity Aquifer in Bell County Texas, in accordance with Section 36.108(d-2) of the Texas Water Code. The purpose of the hearing is to provide interested members of the public the opportunity to appear and provide comments to the CUWCD related to the proposed DFCs.
